AnswerFirst Communications, a live telephone answering service and customer service solutions provider, announced this week that one of their Business Development Coordinators, Teri Erickson, participated in the Lupus Foundation’s Walk to End Lupus at Lowry Park Zoo in Tampa, FL.
According to the Lupus Foundation’s website, they are the only national force devoted to solving the mystery of lupus, one of the world’s cruelest, most unpredictable, and devastating diseases, while giving caring support to those who suffer from its brutal impact. Through a comprehensive program of research, education, and advocacy, they lead the fight to improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus. The Walk to End Lupus Now events are attended by thousands of walkers in nearly 60 cities across the nation to raise money for lupus research, increase awareness of lupus, and rally public support for the estimated 1.5 million Americans who suffer from its brutal impact. These events provide all people affected by lupus the opportunity to come together to end lupus.
Teri Erickson, one of AnswerFirst’s Business Development Coordinators, stated,
My participation in this year’s event gave me the opportunity to rally my friends and family for the support of a great cause, while also allowing me to meet and interact with people that are affected by the various forms of this terrible disease. The event coordinators did a terrific job with the selection of live bands and even had cast members from the various Star Wars movies onsite for photographs. It was an honor and privilege to be involved and contribute; I’m looking forward to doing it again next year.”
